Tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum), flower illuminated by the last rays of the evening sun
My first time growing Virginia Tobacco. The lovely flower opened today and it shows clearly these plants belong to the Nightshade family. Besides, if you plan to gather tobacco leave for processing you should chop the flowers. I leave them on because I want to gather seeds and because I find them quite decorative. The entire plants are currently over 1,30 meter and will grow even taller. They look really majestic with the flowers occuring like literal crowns.
